http://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=34281 Summary : New driver: atl2 for Attansic L2 ethernet chipset Product : Mandriva Linux Component : Kernel Version : Cooker Keywords : Triaged Status : ASSIGNED Severity : enhancement Priority : high Assigned To: kernel@mandriva.com Reported By: awilliamson@mandriva.com Pacho Ramos <pacho@condmat1.ciencias.uniovi.es> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |ASSIGNED ------ Original Bug Text: ------ Attansic has got a new network chipset being used on some motherboards, L2 (you may remember we had to add the atl1 driver for their L1 chipset to the 2007.1 kernel post-release). They've used their usual 'email the code to someone random' release policy which is probably why we never heard of it before. The driver from Attansic - it's under the GPL - is available from this Ubuntu bug thread: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.17/+bug/77725 along with a patch for kernel 2.6.22. As far as I can see, it's not been submitted to LKML by anyone yet. Can we incorporate it into the first update kernel for 2008 and possibly do it for a 2007.1 kernel update also? Thanks. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandriva.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
