Well, this is already explained in the installation manual, but of 
course, i assume that no one read them :)

And use it by default. I have heard that fedora core 3 ( or 4 ) use lvm 
by defaut, and since ext3 can now be resized without unmounting, it

What compilation ?
You mean to recompile the kernel during installation

Too complex to maintain, iirc. However, pixel talked of having a limited 
version, ie one or two step behind, could be possible.

What for ?
I do not see any good reason to reboot during installation ( except if 
someone made a error, bu then, we should clarify dialog or anything to 
avoid that )
