I don't know if mozart has some special need or design flaw that
mandates this layout or if it's only bad packaging, but in the generic
case executables installed outside the standard (s)bin directories
are not meant to be directly executed by the user so no PATH changes
should be necessary. Examples are xscreensaver hacks, apt methods,
gimp plugins, rpm back-ends, firefox-bin, lvm utilities if you use a
wrapper.
If it's supposed to be invoked by the user it should be in the standard
places (the (s)bins, /usr/X11R6/bin or under /opt/<package> or
/opt/<provider>/<package>).
