I just uploaded php4-mime_magic-4.4.0-2mdk into cooker that will use the
/etc/httpd/conf/magic file instead.

Please try.

mime_content_type doesn't returm mimetype for PDF files. 
I had to manually modify /usr/share/misc/magic.mime and replace "PDF document" 
by application/pdf or else it will not sy this is a PDF file. 
 
I know there's better extensions like php-fileinfo, but unfortunately 
php-fileinfo is only available for PHP5 and i have to keep PHP4. 
 
 
[root@info1 ~]# grep -i pdf /usr/share/misc/magic.mime 
0       string  !<PDF>!\n               application/x-prof 
0       string          PDF                     Macintosh PDF File (data) 
65      string          PDF                     Macintosh PDF File(rsrc + data) 
0       string          %PDF-           PDF document 
[root@info1 ~]# vim /usr/share/misc/magic.mime 
[root@info1 ~]# service httpd restart
