I've been looking around in the code for Diskdrake (and the associated libraries) and I had a question before I really mess things up. Where would I go looking to add devices to the list of devices that diskdrake detects? I have two Coraid Etherdrive units hooked up to a Mandrake system, and would like to be able to use Diskdrake to manage them, add them to RAID, LVM, etc. The units are listed in /dev/etherd and the have the format ex.ypz, where x is the shelf number, y is the lblade number (logical blade on the unit) and z is the partition number, if the blades are partitioned. I usually format/mount the whole device: mount /dev/etherd/e0.0 /mnt/etherdrive Tips or suggestions to get me started? On another topic: I just discovered today that the maximum size for a drive added to a Linux md device is 2TB, which stinks since I have my two Etherdrive units configured as 5.1TB RAID5 arrays and I wanted to RAID1 them together. :) j----- k----- -- Joshua Kugler PGP Key: http://pgp.mit.edu/ CDE System Administrator ID 0xDB26D7CE http://distance.uaf.edu/
