My hard drive is clicking about 10 times per second in a high-frequency tone. It could be a spindown, but then I think there is a problem?! Or is it the spindown? As I understand spin down means a standby mode, so that the hard drive shutdown and do not produce any noise, isn't it? But my notebook HD is "clicking" when it is in battery mode. When the HD is in use its away but when it can suspend it begins to "click". I've tried some options in the laptop-mode.conf, but can't solve the problem so far. Did someone else have the same problem? Perhaps someone can help me while solving this issue. In AC mode I do not have the problem. So I think it could be a laptop-mode problem?
