rsync is able to only sync the missing part of the image if transfert failed 
in the middle. You'll reply to me "ftp also", which is not really true, ftp 
look the size of the file, the size on server and try to download only the 
end, that mean the begining of the file is not recheck.

Another point to prefer rsync on distrib-coffee, the qos on this computer does 
not limit rsync bandwith with same rate than ftp and http. I did this to not 
restrict other mirror which use this computer.
