Hi, I've decided to start up my kernels again, but with a little different naming scheme and configs
I won't be uploading to Cooker atleast for now...
You can find them here for now (only built for 2006.0 yet) : http://tmb.kkc.fi/Kernels/
This first public build is a vanilla kernel.org 2.6.16.9
I have only booted/used the x86_64 versions, so I'm not sure how/if the i586 work...
Currently the plan is: - build stable releases for 2006.0 and Cooker - build as modular as possible - don't enable OBSOLETE drivers - add 3rdparty parches based on need / benefit...
The ix86 kernels are:
* kernel-desktop - built for i586, Single Processor/Core, 1GB RAM, CFQ Scheduler, Voluntary Preempt
* kernel-desktop-smp - built for i586, Multiple Processors/Cores, 1GB RAM, CFQ Scheduler, Voluntary Preempt
* kernel-desktop686 - built for i686, Single Processor/Core, 4GB RAM, CFQ Scheduler, Voluntary Preempt
* kernel-desktop686-smp - built for i686, Multiple Processors/Cores, 4GB RAM, CFQ Scheduler, Voluntary Preempt
* kernel-server - built for i686, Single Processor/Core, 64GB RAM, Deadline Scheduler, No Preempt
* kernel-server-smp - built for i686, Multiple Processors/Cores, 64GB RAM, Deadline Scheduler, No Preempt
The x86_64 kernels are:
* kernel-desktop - built x86_64, Single Processor/Core, CFQ Scheduler, Voluntary Preempt
* kernel-desktop-smp - built for x86_64, Multiple Processors/Cores, CFQ Scheduler, Voluntary Preempt
* kernel-server - built for x86_64, Single Processor/Core, Deadline Scheduler, No Preempt
* kernel-server-smp - built for x86_64, Multiple Processors/Cores, Deadline Scheduler, No Preempt
Feel free to try them out and let me know how it works... (or not ...) ;-)

Thomas
