------- Comment #1 from stephen.morris@nab.com.au 2006-11-27 07:18 -------
This problem with Firestarter is caused by having IPTABLES and IP6TABLES
active. When firestarter is installed it produces a message specifying to use
CHKCONFIG to specify whether to use Firestarter or IPTABLES for the firewall.
It appears that with Mandriva 2007 if IPTABLES is active (ie: CHKCONFIG
--LEVELS 2345 IPTABLES ON) then the Firestarter client cannot start.

I have installed the current version of Firestarter in Mandriva 2007 without any
problems. The Firestarter service seems to start successfully at boot time, but
when I start the client produces a dialog box specifying "Unknow Error" and
terminates. Does anyone have any ideas on what I should look at to identify what
is causing the problem.
