I tried to upgrade to kernel 2.6.19 and compile it into Mandriva 2006.0 (here
only my PATA stripe raid was working, no SATA stripe raid)

During the boot the system hangs. It seem that it cannot load the kernel (panic
...).
The log on the screen shows that sata_promise lib was loaded. Please notice
that I was booting from PATA.

On board Promise 378 configured with 2 stripe raid (2xPATA & 2xSATA)
2x Maxtor 80 Gb PATA
2x Maxtor 160 Gb SATA
ATI Radeon 9600

Just experimented the bug.

I first tried installing Mandriva 2006.0 and only PATA disks are recognised (2+0 raid over 2xPATA Maxtor 80GB).

Then I tried installing Mandriva 2007.0 and only SATA disks are recognised (2+0 raid over 2xSATA Maxtor 160 GB).

I would like to have both stripes raid to work: to use PATAs for boot and SATAs for data.
