Is this wise? Have you considered how this will work practically.

Migration from Joomla 1.0.x to 1.5 is not a fully automated procedure
and requires first that a "migration component" is installed on the
running 1.0.x installation and a "prepare for upgrade" procedure
initiated. This then allows for the old site to be upgraded.

To just rip it out and upgrade if users have installed the joomla
package is a really bad idea.
