Turbolinux is using i686, as part of the merge of the core parts, we
have to standardize on a common arch for code pkgs. So it may be a
good occasion to switch:

i686 implies "cpuid family >= 6" + cmov

Intel
- 1995: first i686, Pentium Pro
- 1997: last i586, Pentium MMX
AMD
- 2000: i586, K6-2+ (also K6-III ??)
- 2001: first i686, K7 (Athlon)
- 2002: last i586, Geode LX

is anyone still using a Geode GX, Geode LX, or K6?
