#109: Simultaneously view installed and new package versions

It would prove extremely beneficial to have an extra column in the GUI,
showing installed versions of packages next to the version information of
the selected package (as Synaptic does).
Example (with SmartPM 0.36 on FC4):
* Add channel "FC4 Extras", priority 10 ; install "easytag" (1.1-1@i386)
...
* Add new channel "RPMforge Dries", priority 5
* View > Tree Style > Channels , and have a look at the newly imported
packages list from Dries
* Select "easytag" (1.1-1.2.fc4.rf@i386), which is marked 'New' (yellow
asterisk)
* If one does not remember that easytag was already installed from "FC4
Extras", the Dries version would overwrite the Extras version (regardless
of the higher priority of Extras, I guess).
---
* Two unsatisfactory workarounds :
- Execute 'Find' on "easytag" & 'Expand All', which shows all occurances,
but this is unpractical/undoable if one wants to check tens of
installations from a newly added channel ;
- 'Tree Style > None', but then it is impossible to limit the scope to the
newly added channel.
---
* Suggestion : extra column with installed version (and preferably,
channel alias).
(Actually, the Synaptic "New in Archive" & "Upgradable" looked actually
more intuitive to me ; unfortunately, without priority management, mixing
lots of repositories becomes unmanagable).
