Comment:

 That means that there's an inconsistency between the metadata informed in
 the repository, and the real packages in the repository. It usually
 happens due to mirror synchronization problems.

 Being this a consistency problem, Smart is acting correctly, and the
 distribution management (Mandriva, in that case) should be contacted.
