Hello Gustavo,

That's very good news! Please, let us know whenever you need help.

I will, be sure! :-) To be honest, now that we tested it with support from some of our users, and the feedback is very fine, i think we'll switch sooner over to smart than we first thought. The next version will then be smart only and obsolete aptrpm. I really like the work you did yet with this new project of yours.

Yes, that's true. I must write more documentation.

Report if you need some help....

You may use a plain directory as a Smart channel, but that's probably
not what you really want right?

That didn't really work, but i think working with metadata should be wiser with a growing repo.

You may use createrepo, and also the APT-RPM tools. You could
certainly extract the repo creation tools, even if you're not
going to be using APT-RPM itself.

Well thats right, there will be a way i think....

You could certainly install rpm-python together with createrepo. You
could create a version of createrepo which does not rely on
rpm-python. You might also check if there exists a package for
rpm-python on Debian (I'd be surprised if it doesn't exist).

There are many ways to solve your problem. You just have to understand
what's the most comfortable one in your situation and go for it.

Createrepo without rpm-python? Well how should this work then? Therefor rpm-python for debian doesn't really exist, as i noticed now, this seems something license specific. But i think there will be some solution for this before completly switching, or better there must be one then! :-)
